The perpetual cycle of human wear
The project that we could call "the perpetual cycle of human wear" proposes a dialog between students involved in clothing (fashion, costume design, art) in two schools, l'ENSAD and school of fashion Design in the University of applied arts from Belgrade. The fact that creation is an eternal cycle, that the treasures of the past and the distant territories have always been a source of inspiration, will obviously be demonstrated through the choice, by our school and by Belgrade to work from a museum displaying costumes, art works, ethnic, religious accessoires and artefacts. For us, for example, the treasures shown at the new museum of quai Branly but also the new Musee des Arts Decoratifs and the Musee du Costume, with whom we choose to work, will be inspirations for our students to construct, invent costumes, clothing, accessories to be shown as small events, performances.
The important part of this research will of course be the analysis as well as the invention of new forms, using ancient craftmanship, "savoir faire" as wel as new technology. It will also be a great exchange opportunity to share something from thoses forgotten cultures but also some tradition from our own past, extremely rich in Serbia and France, with in mind the respect of essential values that we promote in Europe, like ethical fashion.
Meanwhile the creative exchanges between the students of both schools, done through drawings, photographs, little portfolios sent through a blog during each stage of the project, will lead the two groups to conclude this association with a "special event" that we will define together (fashion show, performance etc.).

Here are the information about our common project:
We do agree on you choice of subjects and suggest that students do their works based on their own national heritage, in a way that to our student theme is Serbian national costume ( which comprise national costume, old crafts, art works, ethno heritage as inspiration) for the reason of the data availability.
Students of ENSAD will base their work on French cultural heritage.
During the work we would insist on information exchange between your and our students. Our intention is that by Internet we send on informations to your student. As far as BLOG is concerned, we will organize it and inform you by Tuesday.
The date of the our student visit will be as you suggested 11.12. - 15.12.2006
The exact date of the Fahion week is April 2007. The organizer cannot be precise in this moment but we will let you know in time.
